Dear <$salutation$>,
Visualisation
This month I'd like to introduce you to visualisation: a powerful tool to help you achieve - whatever you want...
open a business |
attract a new partner |
become healthier |
enjoy life more |
have a tidy house |
explain something to your boss |
own a new car |
host a good party |
win a race* |
When you visualise, you materialise
*Athletes visualise every step they need to take, play the scene over and over in their minds, until they are utterly focussed. Tiger Woods does it...
How to visualise
Practice |
Visualisation can be hard, so you may like to start simple - and this is fun anyway. Sit calm and relaxed; close your eyes.
Visualise somewhere you know and like; a favourite room, the top of a hill, a theatre foyer, your local pub - whatever does it for you.
Slowly scan round the scene in your mind; enjoy the feelings it recalls. |
Visualising for success |
-
Imagine yourself in the situation you want to achieve
-
Shut your eyes and sit still for a while, letting your thoughts become focussed
-
Gently focus on the steps you need to take
-
Imagine how you feel
-
Who are you talking to?
-
Who is with you?
-
Are there any colour associations? Imagine the appropriate colour surrounding the object or the whole situation
Try to do it every day. You may like to repeat a few relevant words, an affirmation to keep your mind focussed and positively aligned. |
Example |
Lucy wants a new house. She doesn't know the house yet but she imagines sitting at a table, playing with her children in the garden, walking round the house. She then imagines herself taking the necessary practical steps to set things in motion.
Continuing all the time to visualise happy scenes in her new though unknown home, she gets going on those practical steps: reading property pages, visiting estate agents etc. When the time is right she suddenly finds an unexpected dream house. |
Your approach - softly, softly
Now I am going to say something strange here.
It's good to visualise details that help you feel emotions connected to achieving your objective, or that help you stay focussed and positive, or that show you what you need to do.
But then - leave it to the universe.
The thing is to stay relaxed, keep focussed and let things unfold naturally. Detach yourself from the end result, don't panic and try to control every last detail.
Trust the universe to take care of it, knowing deep down that
The universe can come up with better results than you were expecting!
