Runik Games Newsletter: November 2007Someone's not happy...
Worse than that, he desperately wants the prize from this month’s free draw – a Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures Booster from the new Desert of Desolation set. Because he needs an army of his own…! Desert of Desolation is the new set from the brilliant D&D miniatures game (based on the Dungeons and Dragons game) where players build armies and battle each other. Figures like the Feral Troll (above) can also be used as role-playing miniatures! To find out more go to the Wizards website where you’ll also find a full set list. Magic Suffolk County ChampionshipsOn the 28th October some of the best Magic players in Suffolk converged on Ipswich to play off for the title ‘Best Player in Suffolk’. For over eight hours they were locked in a titanic struggle with many different deck styles - Turbo Fog, Kithkin and Boggart Agro plus a couple of Korlash Control decks! But the winner was Jayme Mousa with his Doran, Gaddock and Tarmagoyf Deck. He walked away with the spoils and the booster prizes from all 26 players. If you’d like to see his deck (and those of the other top 8 players) just go here. Congratulations to Jayme! Warmachine grinds into actionWith the increasing popularity of Warmachine from Privateer Press, our friends at the Bury War Gamers have decided to organise a Warmachine Tournament on 24 November. This is a 350-point 'Mangled Metal' tournament (casters and jacks only) - please go here for full details. The three top players can look forward to some very tempting prizes – and of course Runik Games will be there to cheer you on. The Nozzas are coming! Go here if you need a reminder of the categories... Just to give you a little extra temptation, there’ll be a free prize draw for a Lorwyn Fatpack on the night – and after the awards you can look forward to a Christmas Gaming Quiz, for teams of three. So who’ll be on your team…?
