Runik Games Newsletter: October 2007Something wicked this way comes...
Stand back, Hollywood - here come the NozzasForget the Oscars. On Friday 21st December we'll be running our own awards ceremony - the Nozzas. There'll be nine categories, from best Magic player to The Runik Games Sportsmanship Awards. There'll be games, demos, free stuff and the awards as well but we need some participation from the players! So get your thinking caps on, and let's have your votes on the following categories (click on a link to send your nomination...):
The players with the most votes win the prize for that category, which will be a sealed and engraved 'Norin the Wary' card. Rules:
Yu-Gi-Oh - Pharoahs Tour ChallengeThis Saturday (20th October) sees the second of two Pharoahs Tour Challenge tournaments for Yu-Gi-Oh. Win boosters and tournament packs! Advanced constructed format, 2pm start and £5.00 entry (which includes normal membership entry). November competition
Last months competition winner was Alan Aldous - so well done, Alan! This month's competition is for a 'Halo Actionclix Hunter Pack' box. For a chance to get your hands on it just answer one simple question: 'What is the name of the alien race in the Halo game?'Winner is the first correct answer out of the hat next month... Magic the Gathering - County Championships! On Sunday 28th October we can promise you the best tournament of the year! In fact here's your very own chance to become the top player in Suffolk! Registration (including deck registration) is from 12 noon to 1.00 pm, and entry is £5.00 (pretty much of a steal given the number of promo cards and booster prizes being given away). The format is standard constructed, and the eligible sets are Lorwyn, 10th Edition, Future Sight, Planar Chaos, Time Spiral and Coldsnap. You must be a Suffolk resident to enter. Congratulations......to Daniel Gardner, this month's top-ranking player! Go here to see the full rankings. That's all for now - but do let us know what you think of the newsletter, and what you'd like to see in the next issue. Symon Rose |
